In a physical school, a department head can brief the marking team in one meeting. In an online school, teachers may be spread across the UK, the Gulf, and Southeast Asia, working different hours. There is no natural point where marking conventions transfer reliably.
The result is inconsistency. Teacher A interprets a credit point one way. Teacher B interprets it another. Students in the same class receive marks applied by different standards, with no structural fix available.

The Head of Assessment sets up the paper. Teachers just mark.
In Remedia's workflow for online schools, the Head of Assessment (or whoever holds the assessment oversight role) acts as the assignment creator. This is a one-time setup action per paper, not a daily task.
Once the assignment creator has imported the question paper and official mark scheme, it becomes available to every teacher in the school immediately. No teacher needs to import anything. No teacher needs to interpret the mark scheme independently. They open the paper, submit student work, and review pre-marked responses against the shared backbone.
